No.

Good question. If there was much hope then I would have expected to see some
signs of it before now. 500+ MHz G3s have been out for a while and we
haven't seen any multipliers above 10X. The trend with G4s has been in the
opposite direction (G4 multipliers haven't gone above 9X).
Also, Apple isn't using ZIF cards anymore, so even if higher multipliers
become available someone's going to have to package the processors onto ZIF
cards (i.e., no surplus Apple inventory), so I'd expect them to be
expensive.
> Are there any company's working on a solution for this?
So far as I know, the multiplier is on the processor chip itself. So the
only companies who can really address this issue are the ones actually
making the chips (Motorola & IBM). For them, I suspect it's a question
of economics: is there enough demand for units with higher multipliers to
justify modifying the chip? I'm guessing the demand curve for higher
multipliers has peaked and is now starting to drop off.

In theory, perhaps. But price is often determined by other factors (i.e.,
supply and demand). If a manufacturer has overproduced one type of upgrade
then it may well be cheaper than other types--regardless of other factors.
Thanks for the info Jeff!
Are the PCI's clockable like the ZIF's are?
Also, what about the XLR8 MPE Cards for dual processors, are dual G3's
possible or only G4's?
My main app is PhotoShop 5.0 on 7600/200.
Thanks,
