Hi, I am new to video capture on a mac. I recently purchased a videiovision
pci board and want to get it working on a Powermac 8500/120 upgraded to
448mb interleaved (all 60ns) ram and a Sonnet G3-400/1mb processor (on board
256k cache removed).
I have 2 HD's in the system. One (60gb 7200 maxtor IDE) is connected to
sonnet (acard) dma/66 IDE controller running OS 9.1 (using this for
editing). The other drive is a Maxtor 12gb 5400 IDE with IDE to SCSI acard
adapter running on internal scsi bus (no audio/video stutter) has OS 8.1 on
it at the moment.
I have a copy of premiere 3.0, avid videoshop 3, and Strata videoshop 4.0/3d
available for video capture.
I have the videovision drivers found under Vidio Vision PCI at this site
http://www.knight-tech.net/drivers/
Any suggestions on what OS and software will work best with my setup?
Also are there any hardware upgrades I should get?
I put this system together to play around with video capture using SVHS
typee inputs and I want to output to a SVHS vcr and/or video cd (I have
Toast 5 titanium on the OS 9.1 drive)
Thanks
