Personally, I have had no problems with my ATA Card and 20gig hd. The true
test comes with installing the card and drive, not all systems have a
problem with stuttering; although, any system using virtual memory is not a
good thing.
I would upgrade to a Acard or Sonnet Ultra ATA 100 card and a ATA 100 drive
with a spindle speed of at least 7200 RPM and a large onboard cache. I would
keep the old SCSI II drive that came with your system just incase problems
do arise.
Later,
John
