Yes. This is true as 5.3.3 does not work. I kept wondering why it 
didn't work. I just installed 5.3.1 and it boots up like a charm. Are 
there any limitations to 5.3.1? I wonder why Apple only made this 
version to work. Of course, like we don't know why. "To stop the 
competition"

On this subject, it also seems that the Audio cable to the CD rom is 
unnecessary (but made necessary by Apple) because my external Yamaha 
CD-RW plays Audio CD's through my regular speakers from the Computer. 
I only have the Yamaha connected Via SCSI and nothing else. So a 
software solution combined with a hardware design is possible as 
Toast has done it.
