Of course you can get the best of both worlds with the 8600. Push a button
and the side pops off. Lift two levers and the whole box opens like a
suitcase with access to every part. It is basically an 8500 complete with AV
ports, in a case designed to be opened. (It is the case that paved the way
for the G3 cases.)
