Dont do anything yet.
Get onto the net and download Gauge Pro....which will tell you the temperature
of your processor. 43 to 60 degrees is OK.
Then run the new G3 processor for a few days, weeks, months, whatever, and
listen for the pitch of the power supply fan when the 6500 is hot, especially
when you insert or eject a CD or do a restart after hours of use.
If the fan does not scream and howl like a turbocharged helicopter taking off
then you do not have a problem.
