This is my first posting to the PCI Mac list so please go easy on me if all of this has been covered. Jerry: Maybe you are the very fellow to ask. I have a Sonnet L2 G3 6500/400 that needs a PCI video enhancement. The Apple site says that the 6400 & 6500 can take up to two PCI cards but will only accept the 7-inch variety, which limits me to the Xclaim 3D and others like it. The Low End Mac site says that the 6400 & 6500 have two PCI slots of which one can accept only 7-inch cards and the other, furtherst from the board can accept cards up to 12 inches in length. This allows for the use of larger PCI video cards, like the 3dfx Voodoo3 and ixMicro Ultimate Rez cards. I picked up a 9-inch long ixMicro Ultimate Rez card for $26.00 on ebay on Friday. I won't receive it for a few weeks. What video card do you have installed in your 6400 and have there been any quirks or over-heating with the Sonnet card because of it? Is anyone using the ixMicro cards ? Mike -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
