Nope,
If the company releases a new firmware update it usually means that they've
upgraded the firmware for use with the latest OSses and drivers. Also some
glitches are fixed.
I would update the firmware to see if if works fine now in your 4400. Also
something else: have you pressed the CUDA button on the 4400 mobo after
putting in the CDRW? It's a little button on the mobo which you have to press
and hold for some secs. You always have to do this when you install new
hardware.
