Wish I had known, there was one at my favorite thrift store for a while, then
they decided to not sell small bits and pieces anymore.....put jewelry there
instead...I'll ask in the back where their computer guy is with his stuff and
see if they still have it.
should fit and work fine in the centris
whole 6100's go for about $20 here in the thrifts.....I donated one, after
stealing the drive, to my MUG last summer this time....
Running emulation (68020) a 6100/66 will be like a 33mhz 68k mac....a 6100/25
will be 25mhz....about the same as the Centris, right?
I'd jump to at least a second Gen. PM......7300, 7500, 7600 etc.
My 7200/75 is a bit handicapped by fixed CPU....and no interleaving....
It was also only $20.....I have about $100 in it now, with more to come
Performa 6XXX are decent machines..64/6500 paricularly...I have a 6300CD
They are VRAM limited though, 1MB only, no possible upgrades
