Hello
here is my personal input on subject
a piece of cake
I have installed the Sonnet Tempo Ultra ATA66 card in my 7600 /Sonnet G3
Crescendo 400 MHz/1 MB
Its driving an IBM IDE 30 GB Deskstar 75GXP hard drive
It was essentially "plug-'n-play" for me . Just followed Sonnets /IBM
supplied instructions and some info on IDE drives I found on various
powermac update web sites ( found via Sherlock)
.
Was able to format the drive using Apple's Drive Setup located in the
Utilities folder.
It would appear that all the "work" was done by Sonnet. That is what you
pay the "extra" dollars for
There is no free lunch in the mac world
