Gordon,

Don't give up and try again!!!

Hearing it "klunk" into position is not always enough.  The card has 
to be properly and completely seated in the slot, which on some 
computers means just about leaning (not literally - be careful) on 
the card to ensure it is seated correctly.

I have a PM9500 which has had the daughtercard in and out about 50 
odd times (I reserve the right to totally exaggerate!) and each time 
the card has easily reseated.  My PowerBase 240 on the other hand 
needs more care in reseating the  daughtercard.
