Strange, I have a very similar set-up: SM 5500 with internal SCSI
Yamaha 6/4/16 and Retrospect Express 4.1A. This works fine for me,
so I'm not sure what your problem is. I seem to remember I had to
update Retrospect with additional drivers. Check Dantz's site
http://www.dantz.com/ for the driver update.
