I have quite a few maxtors (from 130mb to 60gb), good drives and a great
return policy (I had 1 drive fail in 15 yrs and they sent out a replacement
for free before i had even mailed my dead one out)
I had a few old 2.5gb WD drives act flacky and die on me, never had a
problem with the few IBM's i have had.
Whatever you buy get a CDRW to backup your data once a month and you wont be
sorry (or copy files to another HD like I do, odds of both HD's dying at
same time is very slim).
