I got a Belkin USB card over a year ago for my 8500. Just pop it in.
Go to Apple's download site and download the USB drivers. Install and restart. Mine
was immediately recognized.
I am currently running a Logitech USB mouse and an Epson 2500 all-in-one machine on
my two port card. Their operation is transparent, i.e. seems native.
