Hey Donald,

The PowerMac 9500 series computer can handle OS
versions all the way up to OS 9, and go as low as 7.5.
 Plus, with the help of Sonnet, 9500 owners can now
upgrade to even OS X.  Just make sure that with any of
these OS versions (not X) that you have at least 32
megs of RAM.  If I were you, I'd just go down to the
nearst Apple reseller and pick up a new copy of OS 9,
install it and go from there.  I purchased my 9500/150
years ago and when it came out, I purchased OS 9 from
CompUSA.  After installing it, my Mac was up and
running with all the latest drivers and rock solid to
boot!  Hope this helps,
