A ZIF card is just the G3/4 processor, it needs to go into some sort of ZIF
socket, be it on a carrier card for PCI macs or the built in ZIF socket on a G3
MB

A Sonnet PCI upgrade card has the G3/4 processor soldered to the card.....

Only difference is the ZIF carrier is upgradeable as you can change the
processor to a faster one later.....
