I meant if you copy/paste >from a web page article. Ray, No apology necessary, you were quite clear and I misunderstood your question. I still think, however, that it must have something to do with how you have your email program set up. The following is a random chunk of text that I just copied and pasted from the Low End Mac site: >Weekend update > > AAPL closed at $15.73 Friday, up 5 in a down market. ><current price> > Top Link: MS FrontPage restricts free speech, Slashdot, 9:21. > Mac of the Day: Unitron Mac512 (1985), unauthorized >Brazilian clone of the > Mac 512K. > Email List of the Day: Mac Games, for all Mac gamers. > Deal of the Day: Handspring Visor Deluxe, $169 > Receive Low End Mac's daily announcements As you can see, it looks a little funky, but it's a direct copy/paste from the website. I'm far from an expert on any of this but I do copy and paste quotes, urls, etc. from websites into my emails being sent to the lists on occasion and I never have a problem doing so with Eudora. Your email program should allow you to change its settings or preferences to not allow you to send styled or formatted text. I guess it depends on how much of a PITA this issue is becoming for you, but myself, since probably 95% of the email I receive and respond to comes from the LEM lists, I'd recommend getting a copy of Eudora-it's free-and giving it a try.
