I need to know if anyone out there has a Firewire/USB card and is running one of the many Firewire external hard drives and if they are reliable. Also, can I boot from one of these drives? And if I can, how is this possible through a PCI card? I mean, before the computer boots, it has to detect a drive with the OS installed, which is where the drivers for the PCI card would be as well. Someone shed some light on this for me, thanks.
