Yeah, PC or Mac doesn't matter.  Harddisk Speedtools is the best 3d 
party utility if Apple's wont do it.  Leaves a funky looking icon... 
but other than that its fantastic.

If you have to buy a good drive for a 9500, get an ATA one.  The card 
will run you about $70 (VST UltraTek/66 is awesome), then assume 
about $30/gig for the drive.  It'll be about three to five times 
faster than any SCSI drive you get.  Even if you get a $700 15krpm 
drive, itll be slower than an ATA.
