Try trashing the Users and Groups preferences file. Trashing any preference file
does no harm, a new one is created automatically created with default settings,
which in this case, should be empty fields. You can also try opening the pref file
with a text editor--BBEdit works great, or maybe Microsoft Word--and find the actual
password in a garble of letters and words, towards the top of the document. Be sure
the program you use is set to open any files.
