Hmmmmmmmm. That seems to have done the trick. Now I know what
"background printing: on or off?" means. The seeming randomness of
the window appearing or disappearing can also be explained by its
self-setting occurrences. Problem now seems to have gone away. Ya
larn sompin new evra day!
