I remember someone long ago on this list giving this a try. In the end it did
not work and Kyle gave him the answer why. Something about the video out
needing a second chip to work. Im no Mac expert so I can't give any exact
details. But it won't work unless you are able to put a 8600 MB into the 7600
case (don't even know if this is possible). But a simple RCA card swap from a
8600 won't give you the video out option unless something's changed since
that post about 6 months ago or so.

I have a similar question.

I'm upgrading an old 7200 to 7600. As I've doing this myself in

piecemeal fashion, I have to purchase the "AV Module" separately. I

know I don't have to add the Module, but like to purchase these

options while still available.

I found the AV Module offered for the 7600 (#922-1723), but I also

found the "AV Module" offered for the 8500 (#922-1740). The two

parts look identical except for the extra video out possessed by the

8500 AV Module.

Can the 8500 AV Module be used in the 7600?

Will it allow the extra video out port to be used, or is that a

function of the motherboard?
