All the 9600 PS I could find were 390W regardless of speed and were
either pulls or refurb, the least expensive was $160. If I spent that
much I think I would want what I paid for especially if it was listed as
a 9600 Apple supply.
OTH a good 350W ATX PS set up to run on a 9600 board would be ok if I
only spent about $75 to $90. If you are only trying to replace a 390W
supply I believe it would do the job. Clones based on the 9600 are
running 6 PCI slots and 8 RAM slots with the same expansion for drives
etc. and only run with 230W to 250W supplies there may be some higher
wattages but, I'm not sure.
Who did you purchase from and how much did you pay?
