Generally, the Apple stuff (like the video player) should install automatically. Other things are available at the Berkeley site, mentioned earlier. The 8500s shipped with QuickTime and Avid VideoShop, which is now sold by Strata under a new name. The AV FAQ and the service manual should answer most questions.
