If you really intend to use 3.3V SIMMs instead of 5V SIMMs Macs require, consider the amount of current going to the ram and utilize a zener diode for 3.3 volts with current limiting resistor in series with feed line to ram connector. You'll have to isolate the 5V trace to each SIMM connector. Cut out a part of it and insert the resistor/zener combination in series for each SIMM connector.
