Went down to CompUSA today and picked up a free OS 10.1 update package. Now I have 10.1 running very nicely on my 7600/G3
Heres's my specs: 7600 with Sonnet G3/400 512k 224 Mb RAM Sonnet ATA66 IDE controller Jaz Jet PCI SCSI Generic usb controller 2 IBM Deskstar 40 Gb harddrives 8x Apple cdrom drive internal Yamaha 4416S CDRW external I already had 9.1 on one partition on one drive and 10.0 on a partition on the second drive. I booted into 9.1, put in the OS 10.1 upgrade cd, started the Unsupported X utility and a couple hours later its done! I must say that 10.1 is much faster on my system than 10.0 was. But then I've only been using 10.0 for a few days. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
