Thanks. That was the problem. I had a 48 meg stick in bank A2 and and 8 meg stick in bank B2. Removing the 8 megs did the trick. I have a follow up question. I've always noticed that when I start the computer the monitor powers immediately but then goes off. It comes back on after about a minute. Is this normal? It is a 17 inch Apple Multiscan color monitor hooked to a power mac 7500/G3. TIA. Peter.
