You might be able to find a switchbox with Mac connectors on it, though that
might be more expensive than the VGA box + adapters.

Best of all would be a box that lets you switch the keyboard and mouse too. 
Otherwise you might end up typing the keyboard shortcuts for "select-all"
and "delete" on the keyboard of the wrong computer before you know what
you're doing.  That is, if you plan to have both computers running at the
same time.

I've typed on the wrong keyboard and clicked with the wrong mouse plenty of
times, but haven't done any irreparable damage, knock on plastic.
