There isn't really anything you can do to repair the onboard Ethernet. Have you tested the connection, including the cable, that is, pulled the cable out of the 7500 and put it in another computer? You could try plugging a 10BaseT AAUI transceiver into the AAUI port next to the 10BaseT port. If it's just the onboard transceiver this would work, if it's the actual NIC it won't help.
