I'm helping a friend who has a Performa 5215. Her hard drive does not show up. I tried using Norton's and it doesn't see the hd. It doesn't show up in disk first aid either. In drive set up, it mostly doesn't show up, but occasionally scanning SCSI bus will find it, only as an unsupported drive that it can't mount, initialize, or anything. Other suggestions? Does Tech Tools help with this? I've been thinking of getting it anyway. Also, I can't seem to find Disk Warrior anywhere except as part of a group of programs that I don't want or need (I have conflict catcher and don't use it or like it). Anyone know where to get just Disk Warrior? Someone sent me Disk Warrior to use on my partitioned drive to help with a problem, until I got my own version. Don't know if this is the whole program or not. Did use this on my friend's computer but hard drive doesn't show up. Is there more to program if I find and purchase it? Does it help find lost drives? Any other program that does? She really hates computers (yes, she is a good friend despite this - heck, she makes me feel important when she fearfully calls me with the slightest problem), so she really doesn't need a new computer just to check e-mail and I hate to see her put money into a new hard drive for this old computer. Thanks.
