Hey I know that this is somewhat off topic but I figured that I would try,
I have been a user of SoundJam MP 1.0 untill the last year or so, when I
got 2.0 and, after it took all day to transfer my prefs and library when I
first ran it (3,000 + mp3s), I found it to be a remarkably inferior
program. So I try to go back to 1.0 and discover that although it regards
all of my mp3 collection as mp3s, they are all 0 seconds long with no tags,
and totally unplayable. So in an effort to get my collection to work
(crashed Audion, GreyAmp, SoundApp and AudioCatylist) I found iTunes and
found it to my liking.
But I still REALLY prefer the simple, Finder-like interface of SoundJam MP
1 and would love to go back. I have reinstalled it, both it and the system
on a fresh partition, etc etc etc and no matter what I do I cannot get
SoundJam MP 1.0 to recognise my mp3s. What does either iTunes or SoundJam
2.0 do that makes mp3s neutered in regards to SoundJam MP 1.0? BTW this is
on an 8500 with 448 meg ram, 30 gig Western Digital, and an xlr8 G3...
