Thanks for this information. I'm glad to know how this
works. I let Ramometer run all morning and it found no problems.
Neither did TechTool 3. I think what I have is not bad RAM but
perhaps incompatible RAM...
The problem I have is on a 7300 which has various
RAM sticks of different ages and sizes. It stalls on startup
but starts okay on restart, which seems to me like a RAM problem.
So, I guess I'll just start pulling RAM out piece by piece
and see what happens.
