A bit expensive wasn't it? Good quality Mac->SVGA adapters with DIP 
switches sell for �7.99 here, a shade over $11. And that is after tax.

Well it may be. It depends what card it is and whether a Mac BIOS and 
rivers are available for it. If they are you need to install it in a PC 
and Flash the BIOS to a Mac version. We tried it with a Matrox 
Millennium II 8MB card a while ago in a G4/450 Sawtooth and it didn't 
work, I dunno if it was us, the card was fine in a PC.
If the BIOS is around, and it has to be *exactly* the right one, then 
you could try it. You will not need any adapters if the card is from a 
PC, the signal connector will fit a standard PC SVGA screen as normal. 
You can then do a dual monitor setup with your 9600 or, as I believe the 
9600 has an IX Micro card in, replacing the Video Card.
