You almost certainly have a corrupted file (or thousands) that gives an 
incorrect size for the file.  Something in the order of 20 or 40 GB. 
 The system reads this file size and reports your error.  If you can 
find this too large file(s) and trash it, you should be able to get your 
other files.  You can alternatively select only the smaller files to 
transfer.  However you do it, you need to check the files _reported_ 
file size before you actually transfer.  You might want to use a disk 
file size reporting tool like Disk Surveyor by Tom Luhrs to help find 
this monster file. Good luck.
