>I still have my 800. Its great. Can the 840av capture at full screen then?
No, it can't even think about it. Until you get to very fast PCI cards and CPUs, you can't dream of capturing full screen without hardware compression on the digitizer. If you already had an 840AV, there's a supermac card called the "Spigot Power AV" which is a hardware compression board that connects to the 840 (and 660) AV's DAV connector, and provides a near-videovision Studio-quality compression device. Buying both an 840AV and that card would probably be more than a VideoVision Studio PCI board--and the 840AV would need expensive drive upgrades (Modern SCSI hard drive and a SiliconExpress IV card), whereas in the 9600 you could use the expensive drive you've already invested in to do ProTools with. I used my VideoVision Studio NuBus for a long time and it was great, I don't imagine the PCI version was any different (except, of course, that it's faster and better) -Tyler -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
