i am running os91 with vnc 3.3.3beta... i am pretty sure it is beta... i got
it from vnc's website..
i looked at the vncpatches file and it was dated sometime in 2000...

Brian,

I just started playing around with VNC. I got it running this AM and used it
for a couple of minutes. Seemed to work OK, although it lost connection at
one point for no apparent reason, and I had trouble re-connecting.
I've never seen the error code you report. Are you sure you are using the
latest version? What version of the OS are you using it on?
There are alternate VNC tools by the way. One of them installs it's own
version of the vncpactches extension and has it's own server application. I
haven't tried it yet. An alternate viewer is "vncthing" which is probably
available through versiontracker.com
