The first ones came with 7.5.2 amd it was updated to 7.5.5 byt the time
the last batch came through. I would guess some came with 7.5.3 too.

Ahhhahahaaa No, the 7500 and 7300 are a long way apart. They use very
different CPUs (601/100 vs. 604e/160-200), different Power Supplies and,
most importantly for this discussion, the 7300 has no AV Ports.

I used 8.1 on mine when it had a 601 and upgraded it to 9.1 when it got
a G3. I would recommend 8.5 or 8.6 as a system of choice for an original
7500 as it is stable and faster and less memory hogging than 9.1, which
is as fast as a stuck pig on a 601.
