I've been trying to access secure webpages with my 9500, with Sonnet
400 G3 upgrade, OS 9.1. I have transferred the 6gig HD and RAM from
my malfunction-plagued 7500 (RAMometer etc checked the RAM as OK and
DiskWarrior claimed the HD was fine, but it's NOT) into the 9500.

Settings in this HD were unchanged, and despite the malfs it produced
in the 7500, connecting to secure sites wasn't a problem. Now
suddenly it is. IE5 opens say PayPal's site fine, but when asked to
access the signup page it grinds for over 10 minutes before beginning
to load the page VERY slowly, then up comes "connection failure".
Every single time. This happens with other secure sites also.

I tried my wife's 7220/200, set-up with an exact copy of my IE5,
settings and all, and it connected just fine to the secure pages (the
fact that the PayPal signup page rejected my correct phone numbers,
so I cannot sign up, is another story).

So what the hey is up?
