Hi,
I also own a 620 PC OrangeMicro card that I can connect to my Performa
6400/6500 with no problem, either to the Mac port or a Voodoo 3 graphic
card port. My monitor is a Nokia Multigraph 447X. Could it be that your
specific  monitor can't get the signal for display on start up ? Did you
check the same configuration (monitor to card to Mac port) with both
monitors ?
