Thanks Tim, Excellent prognosis! I'm heading over to that computer's house today and you've saved me some time. I should have realized that the root of diagnostics re. problems such as this is logically yer basic "startup Folder" and related items. Used to put alias' in there when I first discovered how to use it (like stickes, notepad) but haven't been there for so long it didn't cross my mind. Perhaps someone set the alias up as an instructional prompter for a newbe or it's an errant or misplaced installer alias, or. . .
