Maybe I misunderstood the question but I use Real Audio. I use it to
listen to KCRWWW (the webcast version of Los Angeles' premier Public radio
station) on my G4 all day long.

It crashes occasionally, particularly if I do too much with Illustrator
in between saves or during certain Photoshop processes. I gleefully
overlook that because I consider getting great music sans War
News/Propaganda to be a critical mental survival technique.
