Wednesday evening, Sue asked: >>"Can anyone recommend a good external CD-RW (likely a SCSI??) that >>willrun reliably on my 7300/200 using OS 8.5.1?
Hi, Sue. I bought a very nice Yamaha 8x4x24 CD-RW SCSI for use with my PM 7600/132 (now upgraded with a G3 400) and it has been really slick. I've never used a burner before but I'm having fun with it and finding it quite useful, actually. I purchased it privately via LEM Swap from a fine fellow in Detroit. I'm in Northern Ontario, but had no problem when he mailed it to me. I just made sure that he declared the value as the actual price I paid, rather than a slightly inflated figure so that the GST/PST would be calculated on the proper figures. With shipping, taxes and exchange, I ended up paying less than CDN$200 (about $187 if memory serves). I'd heard good things about the Yamahas when I was looking, and I can confirm that it's been as nice as the reports led me to believe. Good luck!
