I've had no problems with my 2500 (which I recently gave away) and it gave
me about 6 years of great service. I guess the only thing you can do is do
all the necessary checks for the printer (I know these sound like
no-brainers, but hey you never know) :

1) make sure it's plugged in properly in the printer port

2) make sure the tape on the ink cartridge is removed

3) make sure the printer's driver is chosen in the Chooser and the proper
port is chosen as well "printer port". When you start up your computer does
the Stylewriter driver load properly or is it crossed out? BTW turn off the
background printing since it takes a damn long time to print anything.

4) open the printer cover and take a look to see if any paper is caught in
the rollers

5) now I forgot if the area where you install the ink cartridge has a lever,
so make sure if it does, that the lever is in it's proper position

6) there is a lever on the carrier for the ink cartridge that sets your
printing to envelopes or regular paper. Make sure it's on the regular paper
and not on the envelope if you are printing only on regular paper. I
remember that having this set on the wrong thing gave me paper jams
sometimes.

7) it could be your ink cartridges are bad. Sometimes the generic ones do
give you problems (if it was a generic brand).

8) try a different printer cable

Good luck.
