I know this is OT, but hell for $30 I'd gladly part with the Comm
Slot II ethernet card in the PowerMac 4400 I've been trying to dump
on the LEM-Swap list for weeks. If there is still someone on this
list looking for one, I've got one.

That said, I wouldn't pay $30 for a CSII Ethernet card. I got the
one currently in my 4400 free by swapping for a slow CSII modem on
the LEM-Swap list. I'm sure if you post to that list, someone will
sell you one cheaper than thirty bucks!

To keep this slightly on topic, isn't it possible to just use a PCI
ethernet card assuming you don't need the PCI slot for something
else? Which brands work in particular and which brands don't? I'm
just curious, because I don't ever plan on owning a Mac with comm
slots again...
