Interesting. With that kind of set-up you can digitize uncompressed video (480x640 is certain to work, 576x720 is a border case). If you have two or more 70+GB disks (I know, down the road) you can put hours of uncompressed video on those disks. All you need is JES Movie RAID which is free (on VersionTracker.com) and Mac OS 9. >I basically want to benchmark my stock Apple drive against the new UW drives, then bench those drives against themselves after being striped with QuickStripe.< I wouldn't expect too much from striping (like 16 MB/sec striped vs. 14 MB/sec individual).
