Funny you should mention that. I just read the article and... About two weeks ago, I started getting the automated "your messages have bounced, reset the bounce counter" deal for this list and the swap list. I thought for a moment that I was over my iTools/e-mail quota, but when I checked I had only something like 700k worth of messages stored on the server. I scratched my head and began to wonder why messages started to bounce. If this mac.com filtering deal is accurate, that would be the most likely explanation of what happened. In a quasi-related issue, the most frustrating part about this is that until you get to your e-mail and figure out how to reset the Maclaunch bounce counter, you not only keep getting your standard feed, but a bounced message warning for **EACH** new message sent to the list, even though those messages themselves aren't the ones bouncing... that is, DOUBLE the number of messages sent each day to both this list and lem-swap! The catch is that Maclaunch treats [EMAIL PROTECTED] differently from [EMAIL PROTECTED], so if your FROM line doesn't match the FROM line you subscribed with -- even though in MX terms they are equivalent hosts -- Maclaunch completely ignores your request to reset the counter, without so much as a nod!!! Took me three days to figure that out, all the while my mailbox was being swamped with bounce notices AND the standard flood of lem-swap and pci-powermac mail (luckily, I had filters set up to manage the mess). I'm not sure whether to curse Apple, Maclaunch's mailing list software (it's already on my bad side from other problematic issues I've had with it), or the fates... -- --Chris PM 7500/604e 200Mhz 4 gig SCSI 256 megs OS 8.6 (This machine rocks!) -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
