Didn't want to give away my secret, but: http://www.alliedelec.com/ (nota bene that this is *not* the same as http://www.alliedelectronics.com/, which is only a distributor not a reseller) They have Tadiran 3.6v High Energy Seres batteries for around $4. The catch is you need to buy a minimum of around $20 worth of stuff from them to avoid a $15 handling fee.
