We all suffer from knowing what is to be done when you get a new used
computer or a new used drive or EVEN A NEW DRIVE, or new or used
memory. 

TABLE OF CONTENTS - Part 1 (DO NOT CHANGE SUBJECT) 

1. Old machine or your current machine to upgrade
1a. Open and blow out dust.
1b. Check power supply and all boards for leaking caps.
1c. (submit your concern here)

2. Test programs
2a. Run a test program for RAM (if you are adding or have a problem
with RAM)
2b. Run a test program for HD (if you are adding a HD or are intending
to change system.
2c. Initialize and do a media test that blocks out bad sectors

Please submit your concerns as I am sure I have missed some.
PART 2 will up date and finally give us all a good check list to be
followed BEFORE WE GET IN TROUBLE.
