I use Localtalk bridge installed on one of the ethernet Macs. This
should be all that is needed besides file sharing software on the LocalTalk
Macs to share files between the ethernet Macs and the LocalTalk Macs.
IPNetRouter can be setup on the gateway Mac to include BOTH ethernet
and LocalTalk networks. It is necessary to assign two IP addresses to the
gateway. This not done on the TCP/IP control panel which should have the
address of the DSL or Cable modem/bridge as the "router address". Rather it
is done when configuring IPNetRouter. This internet connection is
recognized by IPNetRouter, a second interface is configured for the ethernet
LAN.
For example: My DSL modem has an IP addres off 192.168.1.1 the 9150's
address as far as the DSL modem is concered is 192.168.1.2 this is the
interface that IPNetRouter uses for its internet connection. BTW
IPNetRouter requires that this interface be the built-in ethernet if it is
there.
The second interface, ethernet slot-1 for example, is configured in
IPNetRouter 192.168.0.1 which becomes the gateway router address for the
slave Macs. So the slaves would then have TCP/IP configured with the Router
address as 192.168.0.1 and their own IP address in sequence after that
192.168.0.x
If you have a LocalTalk network that you want to have access to the
internet you would add a third interface, AppleTalk, in IPNetRouter. Assign
a second router address of say 192.168.2.1 then the slave machines on the
LocalTalk network would configure TCP/IP or MacTCP using 192.168.2.1 as the
router and then their own IP address 192.168.2.x
