Carolyn (and list), I have a 9600/233 upgraded to a G3/500 running OS 9.1 and am able to use my 15" LCD Apple Studio Display (DVI) as a powered USB hub (connected to my Entrega 4 port USB card) for my Palm cradle and occasionally a mouse with ill effects. YMMV.
